An Expression of Khulumani's Sadness at the Passing of FHR's Lucrecia Seafield, 29 November 2017 Featured

We are deeply saddened by the announcement of the passing on Wednesday 29 November 2017 of the Foundation for Human Rights long-standing Programme Officer for the Promotion of Constitutional Rights Awareness, Ms Lucrecia Seafield.

Lucrecia lived her life with a passion for advancing the possibilities of giving substance to the human rights embedded in our Constitution as a basis for societal transformation. In her capacity as a human rights lawyer, she played a strategic role in the struggle to extend human rights to all, without qualification.

It is for all of us to pick up the baton and continue the pursuit of her admirable endeavours. We extend our condolences to her loved ones and to the Foundation for Human Rights. We will miss her sorely.
