FALSE AND/OR CRIMINALLY FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION
Since 27 April 2019, any claim by MS S R GUNN, MS J A SEIDMAN and MS N BONASE, “the dismissed and expelled individuals”, to be members of and/or to represent Khulumani Support Group is false and, depending on circumstances, could constitute criminally fraudulent misrepresentation.
Following dissatisfaction voiced by Khulumani members with the governance involving these now-dismissed and expelled individuals from the then-Khulumani board; and following their failure in 2018 to attend enquiries and to answer charges against their governance compliance and financial management of Khulumani, on 27 April 2019 the AGM of Khulumani terminated their membership and expelled them from Khulumani.
The Foundation for Human Rights has been notified of alleged continuing false and/or criminally fraudulent misrepresentation by these individuals.
The engagement of any organisation or institution with these individuals as legitimate representatives of Khulumani Support Group is a violation of ethical practice and of the human rights of over 100,000 survivors of gross violations of human rights in South Africa who are members of Khulumani.
Any engagement with these dismissed and expelled individuals will undermine the strategic litigation currently being prepared by lawyers serving the South African Coalition for Transitional Justice.
Any and all cases of such false and/or criminally fraudulent misrepresentation by these dismissed and expelled individuals should be notified to the board of Khulumani (Khulumaniboard@gmail.com) for inclusion by them into the preparation of criminal charges against the said dismissed and expelled members.
Likewise, all enquiries concerning the dismissal and expulsion of these individuals should be addressed as above.
